Although the Prime Minister was a student of literature, she is building a smart Bangladesh just like a modern technologist out of curiosity. Development of engineering and technology is considered as the main development of a country. And engineers are moving the country forward with limited resources to develop that.
Jatiya Sangsad (National Assembly) Deputy Leader Matia Chowdhury expressed her views in the opening ceremony at the National Seminar of the 60th Convention of the Institution of Engineers at Ramna in the capital today (Sunday).
The theme of this year’s national seminar of IEB was ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution Preparedness in Society and Industry’. In the seminar, the Deputy Leader of the Parliament said that Bangabandhu built the structure of the war-torn country by working tirelessly for three and a half years with the soil and the people.
Matia Chowdhury also said that the Awami League government started working on the fourth industrial revolution soon after coming to power. The Prime Minister is still working tirelessly to exploit the 4IR. She is rebuilding Bangladesh with courage.
Referring to the foreigners who used to criticize, the Deputy Leader said that now foreigners are coming to Bangladesh to see the success of Bangladesh. Seeking advice from this country. Engineers are working on developments in water, land and space.
While speaking as the president of the seminar, the IEB President Engineer Md. Nurul Huda said that the Awami League government is a visionary government. Coming to the power in 2009, the government created a vision of how Bangladesh will be in the next 100 years with the slogan of ‘ Change the Days’.
The main article of the seminar was presented by the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prof. Mahfuzul Islam. He said, the education system is no longer at the place of basic education. Because the time to survive in the world through basic education is over. All the countries of the world are now turning towards job-oriented education such as: mobile engineering, LED engineering, cyber security, data science, robotics engineering. So, students should be trained in such subjects so that the people of the country can lead the future world. I believe our young generation will lead the world by 2041 through modern technology education.
IEB Assistant General Secretary Engineer Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin conducted the seminar. The newly elected President of IEB Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur; newly elected General Secretary Engineer SM Manjurul Haque Manju; Vice President Engineer Mohammad Hossain; Engineer Khandkar Manzoor Morshed; Engineer Md.
