The airports of Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong are closed as a precaution since the Mocha has turned into an extremely severe cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal as per the forecast of the Meteorological Department under the instructions of the Civil Aviation Authority. As a result, all flights of US-Bangla Airlines to Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong will be closed till midnight today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday).
On Saturday, the US-Bangla Airlines General Manager-Public Relations Officer Md. Kamrul Islam said that the passengers have been requested to contact any sales office of US-Bangla Airlines to fix the date of the next journey. Apart from this, a passenger can cancel the general pre-scheduled journey on Saturday and Sunday to Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar and get a refund of the ticket amount. Besides, the passengers who were scheduled to travel on US-Bangla Airlines international route from Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong via Dhaka, have been requested to be present at Shahjalal International Airport at least 4 hours before the flight schedule.
He said, passengers are requested to contact 01777777800-6 for any information regarding Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar tickets. The authorities of US-Bangla Airlines are sincerely apologetic for the temporary inconvenience caused to the esteemed passengers as a precaution for the extremely severe cyclonic storm.
