RAJUK informed the High Court that 26 thousand 777 documents were recovered from the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha-RAJUK (Capital Development Authority) server after the documents of about 30,000 customers went missing. At the same time, those 30,000 documents were hacked by hackers, according to the report.
Tuesday (May 2), Rajuk’s lawyer Md. Imam Hasan told the High Court bench consisting of Justice Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Shauqat Ali Chowdhury.
He said that 30 thousand documents were hacked by hackers. Among them, 26 thousand 777 documents have been recovered.
Earlier, on January 2, the High Court sought an explanation regarding the disappearance of records of about 30,000 customers from the RAJUK server. The court ordered the chairman of RAJUK to submit an explanation in this regard within 30 days. Taking into account the report published in the newspaper, the then High Court bench consisting of Justice Md. Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat gave this order.
ACC lawyer Md. Khurshid Alam Khan brought the report published in the newspaper on the same day to the attention of the court. At that time, Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik was on the side of the state.
According to the published report, on December 6 last year, the application documents of about 30,000 customers related to building construction approval disappeared from RAJUK’s server. According to the report, the Ministry of Housing and Public Works has ordered an investigation into the disappearance of about 30,000 customer records from the Capital Development Authority (RAJUK) server.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry (Administration Division-1) Md. Aliullah confirmed this information and said, ‘ RAJUK has been asked to form a committee consisting of technical experts. This committee will complete the investigation within seven working days and report to the ministry.
Quoting sources from the ministry, the report also said, ‘The investigation committee will find out whether the common people will be affected in the event of missing documents. At the same time, the committee will investigate who is involved in the incident or whether there was any technical error. Apart from this, it will be seen if someone conspired and made this incident happen.’
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has formed a 3-member committee to investigate the disappearance of 30,000 customer records. Under the leadership of ACC Director (System Analyst) Md. Rajib Hasan, The other two members of the committee are Deputy Director of ACC Subhash Chandra Dutta and Assistant Director Md. Ashiqur Rahman. The committee has started an inquiry into the missing documents, the ACC said.
