The usage of Meta-owned apps increased by five percent compared to March last year. More than 300 million people in the world are using at least one app every day. Among these, the number of daily active Facebook users has crossed the milestone of 20 crores.
All in all, in the first three months of this year, compared to the same period last year, the income of Meta, the parent company of Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook, has increased by three percent. Shares of the company rose more than 10 percent.
Mark Zuckerberg, the Chief Executive of Meta, disclosed this information on his verified Facebook page. Revealing various details of the quarterly financial statements, he said that in the quarter ended in March, their income was 28.6 billion dollars. At the same time, the profit was 5.7 billion dollars.
Again. Facebook’s advertising agency HTTP Pool has suspended its service in the country. The decision was announced in a letter to customers on Tuesday, citing dollar shortages and “difficulties sending money abroad” from the country. However, no official announcement came till Thursday.
HTTP pool, which started operations in Bangladesh in May 2020, was caught in a revenue evasion case in August of the same year.
According to sources, there is a co-branded credit card for members of BASIS, the association of software and services manufacturers in the country. Usually hosting, software license bills can be paid through that card. But nowhere is it said that Facebook or other media bills cannot be paid through this card. BASIS members can continue to work using that card during this time. Besides, there is Islami Bank co-branded prepaid card for the members of E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (E-CAB). Using this card, e-cab members can promote their ads on Facebook. Besides, the leaders of this sector have claimed that there will be no problem for small entrepreneurs. However, due to this decision, the tendency of freelancers to pay for advertising on Facebook or other mediums will increase.
Before such a situation, Huawei has announced to use Meta-ERP system instead of the old ERP system. The announcement was made at the ‘Heroes Fighting to Cross the Dadu River’ event at the company’s Shi Liu Bei Po Village campus in Dongguan, China on April 20. Sabrina Meng, rotating chairwoman and CFO of the company, said that 100% of Huawei’s business scenario and 80% of business volume are managed through Meta-ERP. The system has passed the monthly, quarterly and annual settlement tests with absolute accuracy on time and without any accounting adjustments.
