The government has taken the initiative to make madrasa students ‘smart’. An 18-year project has been adopted for this. The ICT department will train 20 thousand Quaomi and Aliya students in three phases under the project. By 2041, about 50 lakh Madrasa students will be transformed into technology-savvy professionals.
The State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said to start nationwide “Smart Employment Festival” soon to implement the goal.
The state minister held an online meeting on this Sunday and said that the main principle of this project will be to prepare madrasa students for entrepreneurship and job market in 3 phases – Inspire, Educate and Integrate.
This program can be started as a pilot project in all 8 departments including Dhaka from next May. However, the speakers at the meeting said that the matter is still at the preliminary stage.
In the meeting, Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Ranjit Kumar, a2i Project Director Dewan Mohammad Humayun, iDEA Project Director Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, EDGE Project Director Dr. Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, Sub-project Director Saiful Alam, Awareness Affairs Consultant Hasan Benaul Islam, Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain and others were present. According to sources, the present project stakeholders will work as participants in the implementation of this project from their respective positions.
