Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh-BDU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Datasoft Manufacturing and Assembly in the fields of development, collaboration, student fellowship, assistantship, internship, placement and knowledge sharing.
On Wednesday (April 12), in the meeting room of the Administrative Building of Kaliakoire University, Gazipur, the University Registrar (Additional Duty) Professor Dr. Mahbubul Alam Joarder on behalf of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Bangladesh, and Managing Director Hasan Rahman Ratan on behalf of the Datasoft Manufacturing and Assembly Inc..Ltd. signed the contract.
In the pre-memorandum signing discussion, the University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahfuzul Islam said, we have formulated smart curriculum in this university in coordination with the industry for the purpose of building Smart Bangladesh. In our university we emphasize on industry oriented education. Our aim is to produce industry fit graduates. If we can produce graduates who can directly work in the industry and establish the industry, then we can become a truly smart Bangladesh by 2041.
The Vice-Chancellor of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh also said, we are offering Bachelor’s degree on IoT and Robotics. We are working with the aim of making students proficient in subjects like cyber security, game development, machine intelligence, data science and so on.
He said, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University is interested in working together with Bangladesh industry. You can let us know which industries need qualified graduates. We want to gift those qualified graduates to the industries. We are already working with the aim of including the industries in other areas including curriculum.
In the event, University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahbubul Alam Joardar said that the three pillars of higher education are one is academia, the second is industry, and the third is research which coordinates between industry and academia. If we cannot combine these three, the university cannot sustain. With today’s event, we have initiated the synergy between industry and academia. Now if we can produce good quality graduates and if the industry accepts it and if we share the problems of the industry with us if we can do something then that is our main journey that main journey has started today.
Datasoft Manufacturing & Assembly Inc. Ltd. Managing Director Hasan Rahman Ratan said, ‘We have now entered the era of AI and GPT, we believe that Bangladesh will go far by utilizing these technologies’. In the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, University Treasurer Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain and other teaching staff of the university were present.
