Tesla, an American electric car maker, has been using Intel’s CPU in Model Y cars for so long. However, this time the AMD Ryzen processor is being used in the infotainment system of this model exported to China.
However, the root cause of the Tesla chip change is still unclear. In the face of the global chip crisis, Tesla has been forced to make a decision or has resorted to AMD to cut costs, according to technology site Engadget.
The media could not confirm whether the change in AMD would be for China or elsewhere in the world. Tesla does not currently have a public relations department and has not received any response from Tesla officials in the recent past.
According to the news, the issue of additional computer capability may come to the notice of the new Tesla owners. However, it is unknown at this time whether the Ryzen APU has been used in the latest ‘Model Y’ or not as used in model S and X.
