Internet bandwidth services will be suspended for one hour on Thursday, April 18 at night for maintenance work on the second submarine cable (SEA-ME-5) installed at Kuakata.
Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCPLC) informed the matter in a circular on Wednesday, April 17.
It said internet bandwidth services through the cable will be down for one hour from 3pm to 4am on Thursday, April 18 for maintenance work on the country’s second submarine cable (SEA-ME-5) installed at Kuakata. As a result, customers may experience temporary Internet slowdowns or Internet service disruptions.
According to BSCPLC, however, at the same time, bandwidth services will continue as usual through the submarine cable from Cox’s Bazar Landing Station (SEA-ME-4).
