The VC of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology-SUST recovered the iPhone left behind in a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight within 24 hours. Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed lost his iPhone on Biman’s Bangkok-Dhaka flight BG-389 on Saturday, April 13. He landed in Dhaka from Bangkok. While getting off the flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, he dropped his used iPhone on the seat and forgot to take it.
The iPhone was found by flight security during a post-arrival flight cabin search. Later, the security personnel found the passenger and returned the iPhone.
According to sources of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, during the cabin search of the flight after the arrival of the flight, the security guard Md. Sulaiman received an iPhone-14 in seat no. 24E of the aircraft. The Air Security Branch found out that the phone belonged to Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed’s wife Rehana Ahmed.
Later iPhone-14 was handed over to Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed through Aviation Security Branch. He highly appreciated the honesty and hard work of the employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
Earlier on April 4, a passenger left a wallet with 23 thousand Saudi riyals on a Dhaka-Saudi flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. In Bangladesh currency which is about six lakh 72 thousand taka. Later the company handed over the wallet to the passenger.
