আইসিটি খাতের গণমাধ্যমকর্মীদের জাতীয় সংগঠন বাংলাদেশ আইসিটি ফোরামের (বিআইজেএফ) সভাপতি নির্বাচনে আগামী ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর, শুক্রবার ফের ভোট অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। রবিবার এই সিদ্ধান্ত দিয়েছে নির্বাচন কমিশন। নির্বাচনে প্রধান নির্বাচন কমিশনার হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন অ্যাসোসিওয় সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান আব্দুল্লাহ এইচ কাফি। সদস্য হিসেবে আছেন দৈনিক প্রথম আলো’র যুগ্ম ফিচার সম্পাদক পল্লব মোহাইমেন ও জ্যেষ্ঠ সাংবাদিক এ আর এম মাহমুদ হোসেন এবং আপিল বোর্ডের সদস্য সুমন ইসলাম ও আরিফুল হাসান অপু।
গত ২৩ সেপ্টেম্বর অনুষ্ঠিত ভোটে ইতিহাস রচিত হয় বিআইজেএফ কার্য নির্বাহী কমিটির নির্বাচনে। সভাপতি প্রার্থী ৩ পদে ভোটে ২ জন সমান সংখ্যক ভোট পাওয়ায় নতুন করে ভোট গ্রহণের সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে। ভোটে দৈনিক ইত্তেফাক এর আইটি ইন চার্জ মোজাহেদুল ইসলাম ঢেউ মৌখিক ভাবে নিজেকে প্রার্থী থেকে প্রত্যাহার করেছিলেন।
তবে ব্যালটে তার নাম ছিলো যথারীতি। মোট ৫৪ ভোটারের মধ্যে ৫০ ভোট কাস্ট হলেও তিনি কোনো ভোট পাননি। অপর দুই প্রার্থীর মধ্যে স্মার্ট বিআইজেএফ রূপকল্প ঘোষণাকারী দৈনিক সমাকল এর সিনিয়র সাব এডিটর ও আইসিটি পাতার বিভাগীয় প্রধান হাসান জাকির এবং মাসিক টেকওয়ার্ল্ড সম্পাদক নাজনীন নাহার সমান ২৫টি করে ভোট পান।
