Google has added a new feature ‘tap to read’ to encourage children to read books even more comfortably.
The feature has been added In ‘Playbook’, an e-book digital distribution service of Google. Children do not need to read books while using this tool. The feature itself will read the words of the books for them. Not only that, it will help find the word meaning very easily. Whether the pages will be turned over automatically or manually can also be selected while reading books using this tool.
Word meaning with pictures which is easy to understand for children was previously set in Google playbook. Now any word can be heard from any page of the book. Read or listen to the meaning of thousands of words in a child-friendly manner where there are pictures to help children’s better understanding.
“When you are browsing in the Google Play Books app, you’ll find a large catalog of books designated for ages 0-8, and the vast majority of these titles have reading tools enabled.”
