Apple introduced its AI-powered Apple Intelligence alongside the iPhone 16 series last September, with its official rollout in October. However, the service is still not available worldwide and currently supports only English in most regions. According to a report by GSMArena, Apple Intelligence is set to receive support for additional languages in April.
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced this update during the company’s Q4 2024 earnings report. He stated, “Starting in April, Apple Intelligence will support more languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Additionally, localized English versions for Singapore and India will also be included.”
Although Cook mentioned eight languages, Apple’s official support page has also listed Vietnamese as part of the upcoming expansion. These new language additions will be introduced through a software update in April.
Currently, Apple Intelligence is accessible only in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa. To use it, users must have an iPhone running iOS 18.2 or later, an iPad with iPadOS 18.2 or later, or a Mac with macOS Sequoia 15.2 or later.
