At a press conference during CES 2025, Samsung announced that its next Unpacked event will take place on January 22. The event will be livestreamed on Samsung’s website, and it is widely speculated that the company will unveil its new flagship phone, the Galaxy S25, during the event, according to TechCrunch.
Last year’s Unpacked event, held on January 17, introduced the Galaxy S24. While this year’s event is occurring a few days later, the date aligns with earlier reports confirming the schedule.
Over the past few years, Samsung has divided its flagship device launches into two six-month intervals. The Galaxy S lineup is introduced at the start of the year, while the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold foldable phones debut mid-year.
There is also speculation that Samsung may provide further details about its “Galaxy AI” initiative during the event. This initiative aims to integrate generative AI technology into its handsets, similar to Google’s Gemini and Apple’s Intelligence technologies, as part of Samsung’s proprietary efforts in the field.
