Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Monday that the daily active users of Threads, the company’s social media platform, have surpassed 100 million. The news was reported by TechCrunch.
Zuckerberg also revealed that the platform’s monthly active users now stand at 300 million, an increase from 275 million in November.
This marks the first time Meta has disclosed daily active user statistics for Threads. Previously, the platform only shared monthly user data.
Over the past few months, Meta has accelerated efforts to enhance Threads by introducing new features and reporting growth metrics more frequently. This push comes as rival platform Bluesky’s popularity continues to rise, with its user base now exceeding 25 million.
In response to growing competition, Threads has rolled out features such as customizable feeds, starter packs for new users, and the ability to adjust default feeds to suit user preferences.
Adam Mosseri, head of Threads, recently stated that the platform is gaining momentum, with approximately one million new signups daily over the past three months.
Under Meta’s leadership, Threads has established itself as a formidable competitor to X (formerly Twitter) and is steadily growing in popularity, attracting new users every day.
