Following the launch of the PlayStation 5 Pro, Sony has reported a total of 65.5 million PS5 units sold by the end of the second quarter, according to Engadget. Despite a year-over-year decline of 1.1 million units in overall console sales, the PS5 achieved substantial success. Game sales also rose by 14.9%, reaching 77.7 million units compared to the same period last year.
PlayStation Network’s monthly active users have grown, now totaling 116 million. Sony’s overall revenue increased by 9%, while operating profit surged 71% to $2.91 billion.
With two fiscal quarters remaining until March 31, Sony has adjusted its revenue targets for the upcoming months.
