Kaspersky, an antivirus provider, has conducted a review of network and information security across various industrial organizations and found that approximately one-third of these organizations regularly encounter network problems. Among those facing issues, 45% reported experiencing network problems multiple times a month, while at least 12% face such challenges once a year.
The findings were disclosed in a press release on Sunday.
The report states that 49% of industrial organizations identified detecting and resolving cyberattack incidents as the most challenging task. As a result, many organizations frequently experience network disruptions, reduced efficiency, and limited network issues. To resolve these problems and return to full operational capacity, 74% of organizations require between one to five hours.
Maxim Kaminski, Business Development Manager of Kaspersky’s Secure Access Services Division, noted that network problems often lead to delays, reduced production, financial losses, and damage to reputation for industrial organizations. When network issues arise, it disrupts communication and business activities, leading to a decrease in production and a loss of customer trust. Therefore, organizations should secure their operations to ensure business continuity.
To address network problems and enhance security, Kaspersky recommends utilizing their Kaspersky Industrial Cyber Security (KICS) and Kaspersky SD-WAN security services. The company claims that these security services can provide centralized management, network optimization, and advanced protective measures.
