With the focus on AI technology, the International AI Olympiad has been started on Sunday (September 8) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The AI Olympiad is being held with the participation of 25 countries and the event will continue till September 12. News Gulf News.
The event was organized by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority. The organization is supported by the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics and the International Research Center for Artificial Intelligence in Slovenia.
AI Olympiad is a platform for competition on AI. The main objective behind creating such a platform on AI is to nurture AI talent among the youth and encourage them to master AI technology.
Apart from competitors, scientists and AI researchers will also gather in the AI Olympiad. A team of 4 members from each participating country will participate in the competition. Each contestant will compete individually in scientific and AI problem-solving challenges.
