One of the most popular AI chatbots in the world today is ‘ChatGPT’. 153 million visits were made in the first month since its launch in November 2022. 2 billion users visited this platform by April 2024. The survey found that 44 percent of users believe that AI can achieve better results than humans, and 56 percent believe that AI will also have a major impact on virtual experiences and metaverse education.
Such information has emerged in a recent study by Kaspersky about the use of AI in various aspects from work life to personal life.
53 percent of the users who participated in the research think that AI is an inevitable part of life and 51 percent of the users think that AI will bring great opportunities and will improve in the future. 56 percent of users think AI is capable of creating reliable art in the creative field. In addition, 70 percent of users see AI as a necessary tool and are interested in using AI in everyday tasks.
In social communication, 62 percent of users feel comfortable conversing with AI such as chatbots or virtual assistants, and 37 percent of users use AI to find a life partner. However, 56 percent of users think that AI can change human interaction. That is, virtual relationships can be replaced with real relationships.
In June 2024, Kaspersky’s Arlington Research conducted an online survey with 10,000 people to get their views on current digital superstitions, the role of AI in our lives, and the concept of digital immortality. 1000 people from UK, Germany and France and 500 people from Spain, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, Kazakhstan, India, China, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and South Africa participated in this research.
“We are seeing a growing acceptance of AI as an essential tool, helping people in a variety of fields,” said Vladislav Tushkanov, Kaspersky’s Research Development Group Manager, about the study. Apart from applications like data processing and analysis, AI is being used in various personal tasks such as education, workplace, etc. As AI technologies advance, their ability to spread new ideas and improve our lives is becoming more powerful. But these advances also bring unexpected risks and threats, ranging from over-reliance on AI advice, to AI-generated phishing, deepfake and identity theft. So, we have to face these challenges with awareness.”
