US President Joe Biden imposed a 100% tariff on imported electric vehicles (EVs) from China last May. This time Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did the same. From now on, Chinese electric cars imported into the country will have to pay 100% duty. News Reuters.

Trudeau said the new tariffs will be imposed from October 1 this year. Trudeau spoke on the sidelines of a three-day closed-door cabinet meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
