Now Google will detect fraudulent apps on users’ smartphones. In this case, the technology giant will take the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. News Times of India.
At its latest annual developer conference, Google announced the expansion of its AI capabilities. From now on, the company will detect ‘live threats’ through Google Play Protect. As a result, any type of malware or fraudulent apps installed on the smartphone will be more easily detected and alert the user.
Google Play Protect is said to scan 200 billion Android apps every day, helping to protect more than 3 billion users from malware.
This feature will be so effective that if ever an app starts working for any purpose of fraud and abuse, Google’s ‘Live Threat’ will immediately detect it. These ‘live threats’ will be detected using Google Play Protect’s on-device AI feature. Moreover, if any suspicious app is detected, it will directly inform Google Play Protect and the user will be alerted immediately.
If an app on the smartphone is later modified or controlled from somewhere else, Google will take proactive steps to detect anything risky and protect the device from any attack.
Google Pixel, Honor, Lenovo, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo and other manufacturers are also known to set-up this feature in their smartphones later this year.
