Israeli company Tower Semiconductor wants to set up a factory in India with an investment of 8 billion dollars for the production of chips. The company has also made a proposal to the country’s government for this. Reuters reported this information on the Indian media The Indian Express.
According to reports, Tower Semiconductor has sought incentives from the Indian government for setting up factories in India. They are looking to manufacture 65 nanometer and 40 nanometer chips in the South Asian country.
Tower Semiconductor and India’s IT ministry did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests for details.
