The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and handover of responsibilities of CUET Club, a creative social, cultural and recreational organization of teachers and officers of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has been completed. On Monday (January 23, 2023), the meeting was held at the club’s auditorium and the Vice Chancellor of CUET Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was present as the Chief Sponsor of the CUET Club.
The outgoing President of CUET Club Professor Dr. Md. Azad Hosen presided over the event, while the outgoing Vice-president of the club, Professor Dr. Razia Sultana was present as the special guest. The program was conducted by the General Secretary of the club Dr. Md. Saiful Islam The program was arranged in two phases; in the first phase the Annual General Meeting of outgoing committee and award distribution of various sports competitions were held. In the second phase, the responsibilities were handed over to the new committee.
Note that according to the decision of the emergency general meeting held on January 11 of CUET Club, a committee was nominated for the 2023-24 Executive Council. Professor of Electrical and Electronic Techniques Department Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain as the pPesident and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department Dr. Md. Mamunur Rashid was nominated as the General Secretary.
Besides, the Chief Engineer Md. Sirajul Islam, as Vice-president; Section Officer of P&D Office as Finance Secretary Md. Saiful Alam; Lecturer of Nuclear Engineering Department as Sports editor; Md. Masum Rana Pramanik, Lecturer of Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering Department Md. Miraiz Hossain as Joint Sports Editor; Assistant Professor Shayla Sharmin of Architecture Department as Literary and Cultural Secretary and outgoing Committee President Professor Dr. Md. Azad Hossain and deputy librarian Md. Emranul Haque was nominated.
