On the occasion of Digital Bangladesh Day on December 12, Dato ‘Izzaddin Idris, President and Group CEO of Axiata Group Berhad, congratulated the Government of Bangladesh for the successful implementation of the Digital Bangladesh Vision.
Today, Robi Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer Shahed Alam on behalf of Axiata Group CEO handed over the congratulatory letter to State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak at his ICT Tower office in Agargaon. In a congratulatory letter, Axiata Group CEO Izzaddin praised the ICT Minister for his young and enterprising leadership. He also thanked the State Minister for ICT for setting up National Information Center, 333 and recognizing BDApps as National Appstore in collaboration with a2i-Project under ICT Department.
Mentioning the establishment of high-tech parks across the country, contribution of Startup Bangladesh in creating various start-up initiatives, combatting the Corona pandemic through simple digital solutions, promotion of Bangladesh as a leading outsourcing destination for the global ICT sector, expansion of e-commerce sector and Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center and connecting students across the country with ICT through the Incubation Center, he lauded the efforts of the Minister of State and assured all sorts of cooperation in IT sector of Bangladesh.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak thanked Axiata Group for the initiative. Apart from celebrating the golden jubilee of the country’s independence, he also expressed his excitement over the successful implementation of the Digital Bangladesh Vision in the same year. The state minister thanked Robi for its role in building a digital Bangladesh. It can be noted that Robi is the second largest mobile phone operator in Bangladesh.
