Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Forum has announced the names of 15 final winners out of 152 nominees for international recognition of social innovative work using digital technology. Eight individuals and seven organizations have won prizes in this global competition for digital social innovation in different categories.
The winners’ name was released on Tuesday night (May 25). The BDSIF authorities said that the prizes will be officially handed over to the winners on July 11 in Bangladesh and Canada.
On the same day, Palak Sharma, co-founder of the Green Governance Initiative Center of India, Anika Shubha Ahmed Upoma, President of Evolution 360, Shahestu Abida Bhirawasiwi, Lead Founder Young CEA of Indonesia, Bangladesh Wheelchair Cricket Team Captain MD Mohsin and a student, Syeda Nazneen Ahmed Sylvie will receive this award from the organizers.
Meanwhile, Alok Chandra Das, founder of Anushilan Samajkal, Muntasir Mamun Moon, Brand Manager Akij Food for the Social Inclusion achievement and Sajia Afrin Sultana, a student win this international award in the Integrated Community Development category.
On the other hand, this year Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Award 2021 is getting Lighter of Light Bangladesh (Best Innovative Idea) as an organization/organization/team; Youthpreneur Network (Volunteer Leadership); Engineers Hub BD (Integrated Community Development); Keep Smile Foundation (Social Inclusion); Bahnishikha (Integrated Community Development); Study Booth-Learn Together (Online Volunteer Campaign) and International Youth Change Maker (Integrated Community Development).
The final winners of this year’s event still have the opportunity to migrate to the developed world at a 50 percent cost through scholarships, fellowships and sponsorships. The winners will be able to participate in the next step by applying for an assessment form.
Asked about the award distribution process, Sharif Mahmud, secretary of the organization, said, “We will officially host the Canada and Bangladesh Awards Ceremony on July 11 at the same time.” The event will be organized in Bangladesh by the Vice President of the organization Md.
