The minister warned so while speaking as the chief guest at the official launching of ‘Alap’- an innovative communication app of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited- BTCL on Sunday.
Mustafa Jabbar mentioned the ‘Alap’ app as a milestone in government telecommunication services by joining the program through virtual means.
He said, digital technology has kept Bangladesh active. Commenting that the digital tide is now flowing in the country, the minister also indicated that the people engaged in offices or businesses are not that worried about the lockdown which will start from Monday.
BTCL Managing Director Dr. Rafikul Matin delivered his welcome speech mentioning that, the app has received an unprecedented response since its launch, topping the communications category. 3 and a half thousand customers have already registered with the app so far.
As a new service and due to some limitations of the calling service, the ‘Alap’ app users are experiencing problems from time to time. However, the team is trying to resolve the issue immediately, he added.
