A cloud-based automation system has been introduced to protect migrants from fraudsters. The name of this digital solution created by Systech Digital Limited is ‘Recruiting Agencies Information Management System (RAIMS)’.
The service was inaugurated by Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed at Hotel La Meridian, Dhaka in the capital on Saturday.
Secretary of the same ministry, Dr. Ahmed Munirus Salehin was present at this event as a special guest.
Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Head of Cooperation Suzanne Mueller, UNCDF Head of Corporation of the Delegation in Bangladesh Maurizio Sian, ILO Dhaka Country Director Toumo Poutianien and Md. Shamsul Alam, Director General of BMET were also present among others.
The Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister said that by using this system, the people who want to go abroad and the recruiting agencies will get accurate information and the brokers will be protected from fraud.
It was informed that RAIMS Solution provides necessary information of more than 1600 expatriate recruitment agencies in Bangladesh and all kinds of performance reports related to sending their employees abroad at the event. This information management software provides instant update data with Employers and workers who want to go abroad can make the right decision for them.
One of the benefits of using it is – updated information on the employer organization, company license information, authorized representative information, foreign representative information, branch information, staffing information, training center information, agency performance appraisal, complaint, its disposal records and automatic notification system as well.
It has been implemented by the International Labor Organization (ILO) with funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
