Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited (BTCL)’s IP calling app Alaap has launched on March 26, the day of the golden jubilee of independence. The new number will be matched through the app, so users can talk at the cheapest rate.
BTCL managing director Dr. Md. Rafiqul Matin informed while conversing with Digibangla.
BTCL MD said, At first, those who download and register this app will get a mobile number with 09698 series. The last 6 digits of the number will be the last 6 digits of the mobile user’s number. The app has various facilities including sending messages, video calling, call forwarding. One second pulse will be calculated.
Although the Alaap app cannot be used globally right now. However, you can talk at an affordable call rate outside the country through the app.
The world is now focusing on cybersecurity. There is no exception for the talking app, Alaap as well. Every call is encrypted. As a result, the information remains secured; added the BTCL MD.
The Alaap will be international quality calling app. From video conferencing to almost all the benefits of the international standard app is going to match in this app of BTCL.
The BTCL official further said that the app is going to be launched officially on April 4. The app will be available on Google Play Store and App Store.
