A bilateral meeting was held on Thursday between Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh (BDU) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh to ensure the quality of education, make the activities of IQAC more dynamic, and provide necessary guidance.
In the morning, a meeting held at the BDU administrative building in Kaliakoir, Gazipur, discussed the issues of BDU’s curriculum, research, and academic activities.
The meeting was chaired by BDU-IQAC Director Suman Saha, and UGC Professor Dr. Machuma Habib. BDU Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf discussed the goals, objectives, activities, plans and challenges of implementing future plans of IQAC while delivering the president’s speech.
UGCA’s Director of Strategic Planning, Quality Assurance Department Dr. Durga Rani Sarkar, Additional Director Akram Ali Khan, Deputy Director Morshed Alam Khondaker, BDU IQAC Additional Director Md. Rafibul Islam and SM Rajib Hossain were present in the meeting.
UGC Member Professor Dr. Machuma Habib said that despite being a new university, BDU has been making significant contributions to providing quality education. He expressed satisfaction with the activities of BDU’s IQAC and called for this trend to continue.
BDU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf said, “One of the objectives of this university is to produce industry-ready graduates. We have formulated our curriculum with that goal in mind.”
