Orange Business Development Limited (OrangeBD), an IT company from Bangladesh, is working with the Philippine government to provide technical assistance to various e-governance projects. As part of this, the company participated in the Digital Bangsamoro Summit held at the Sharif Kabunsuan Cultural Complex in Bangsamoro, Philippines on Tuesday. The event was officially inaugurated by the Philippine Minister of Local Government, the Head of Bangsamoro, and the Head of UNDP Philippines. Representatives of various international organizations and institutions were present at the event.
A team led by Md. Shamim Hossain, Director and Chief Information Officer of OrangeBD, represented Bangladesh at the ‘Digital Bangsamoro Summit’. He discussed the summit titled ‘Journey to Digitalization and Service Delivery Ecosystem Blueprint’.
The company announced this information in a press release on Thursday. The release stated that OrangeBD Limited is digitizing 14 citizen and business services in 20 of the 123 municipalities in the Bangsamoro region of the Philippines. This will be implemented in all municipalities in phases. Under the project, all citizen and business services will be subject to digital transformation in phases. OrangeBD
is also working on the development of the Program and Project Monitoring System of the National Economic and Development Authority, an institution under the President of the Philippines. This system will assist the Philippine government in making data-based decisions by monitoring, analyzing information and data on projects implemented with the funding of the Philippine government and donor agencies.
