Prominent digital creator, entrepreneur, and social influencer Robaiyat Fatima Tani shared the heartbreaking news of her husband’s passing on social media. In a poignant post on her verified account, she wrote, “He is no more. He has left me alone for the rest of my life.”
According to her post, Tani’s husband, Shahadat Hossain, passed away at 3:03 AM (Bangkok time) on Tuesday at a hospital in Bangkok, where he had been undergoing treatment. “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un,” she added to express her grief.
Shahadat, 38, had been in critical condition and had been receiving medical care in Bangkok for an extended period. Tani frequently shared videos on Facebook about their life together, which often drew criticism and ridicule from netizens due to their age gap and personal moments shared online.
Last October, Shahadat was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka after his health deteriorated. As his condition worsened, Tani arranged for an air ambulance to transfer him to a hospital in Bangkok, where he was placed on life support. For the past two months, she had been shuttling between the two countries to be by his side.
Despite her personal struggles, Tani continued managing her entrepreneurial responsibilities. On the day of her husband’s passing, she was seen hosting a Facebook Live session to promote her clothing business. Her final video that afternoon showed her visibly distraught, as she shared plans to board a 2:00 AM flight to return to her comatose husband’s bedside. She ended the live session abruptly, unable to fully engage with her audience.
The couple is survived by their two children, a son and a daughter.
This was Tani’s second marriage. After parting ways with her first husband, she found love with Shahadat. Initially facing resistance from her family, she eventually reconciled with them. Over the years, their significant age difference made them frequent targets of social media criticism, but Tani often defended her marriage publicly.
Tani is the owner of the fashion brand “Sunvis by Tani,” which boasts 12 showrooms across Bangladesh.
Her loss has deeply moved her followers, with condolences pouring in from across the country.
