On the first day of the year, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, will hand over healthcare cards to the injured fighters of the July Revolution.
This information was disclosed on Tuesday, December 31, in a press release issued by Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
According to the press release, healthcare cards will be issued by the Ministry of Health for those injured in the July Revolution. On that day, at 5:00 pm, the Chief Adviser will distribute the cards to the injured at the State Guesthouse Jamuna.
Earlier, on November 14, a meeting was held at the Secretariat in the conference room of the Ministry of Health with six advisers and the injured individuals. Following the meeting, Dr. Sayedur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, announced that unique ID cards would be issued to ensure free lifetime medical care for those injured during the July-August uprisings.
Dr. Sayedur Rahman further stated that the injured fighters would have unique ID cards granting them free services for life at all government facilities. They would also receive free services at private hospitals with government agreements. A dedicated support center would be established to address all their needs.
Dedicated hospital beds would be allocated for the injured at all government hospitals. Additionally, all hospitals in Dhaka would be integrated into a single network to provide seamless medical services.
