Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land, ASM Saleh Ahmed, has urged project officials and staff to work with greater dedication to complete digital survey projects within the estimated budget and timeline. He also emphasized the importance of regular supervision and coordination to ensure the smooth implementation of projects.
Addressing a review meeting on ongoing projects under the Ministry of Land and its affiliated organizations, held at the Land Ministry on Tuesday, the Senior Secretary directed that no compromise should be made when it comes to ensuring public welfare.
During the meeting, it was disclosed that the Ministry’s Annual Development Program (ADP) for the fiscal year 2024-25 includes six projects with a total allocation of BDT 709.25 crore. Approximately BDT 28 crore has been spent in the current fiscal year. The projects include Land Management Automation, Enhancement of Digital Survey Capacity, National Digital Land Zoning, Digital Land Management System Implementation, Construction of Urban and Union Land Offices Nationwide, and the Char Development and Settlement Project.
Additionally, the Automated Land Administration Management System (ALAMS) program has been allocated BDT 408.62 crore in the 2024-25 fiscal year, with BDT 92.06 crore already expended.
