The results of the digital lottery for admission to classes one through nine in government and private secondary schools across metropolitan and district headquarters will be held on Tuesday, December 17. The event will take place at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka.
According to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), the lottery will be attended by Professor Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, Special Assistant to the Ministry of Education (State Minister rank), as the chief guest. Senior Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division Siddiq Zobair and Secretary of the Technical and Madrasah Division Dr. K. M. Kabirul Islam will attend as special guests.
The results will be available online once the digital lottery process concludes. School authorities, parents, and students can access the results by visiting the designated website (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd/) and downloading the results using their assigned IDs and passwords. The DSHE instructed that after downloading the results, school heads must promptly notify the relevant district and upazila admission committees via email and inform the DSHE.
The DSHE further clarified that the admission process will follow a proper protocol, with school admission committees convening meetings to ensure that selected students are admitted according to the outlined procedures.
Earlier, the online application process began on November 12 and ended on November 30 at 5:00 PM. The Ministry of Education had emphasized that no other method, apart from the digital lottery, would be permitted for student admissions in the 2025 academic year. The application fee for this year was fixed at 110 taka.
During the 18-day application period, a total of 983,539 students applied for admission to both government and private schools. Of these, 635,072 applications were submitted for government schools, while 348,467 were for private schools.
This year, 680 government schools across the country offered 108,716 available seats, attracting over 6.35 lakh applicants. Meanwhile, 4,945 private schools had 1,007,673 vacant seats, receiving applications from 3.48 lakh students.
The DSHE expects the admission process to proceed smoothly following the digital lottery and the subsequent confirmation of results.
