The engineers of Bangladesh have pledged to remain united in preserving the spirit of the July-August Revolution. Leaders of the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB), the largest professional organization for diploma engineers in the country, expressed their readiness to assist the government in any capacity during the current situation.
On Monday, December 16, during a tribute at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar to honor the valiant heroes who sacrificed their lives in the Liberation War, the IDEB leaders voiced their commitment. They stated, “We are prepared to support the government in upholding the nation’s integrity and progress whenever needed.”
The tribute was led by the interim central committee’s joint convener, Engineer Abedur Rahman, and member secretary, Engineer Kazi Sakhawat Hossain. Central leaders and engineer members of the organization also participated in the homage.
Among those present were joint member secretary Mirza Mizanur Rahman, science and technology member Engineer Md. Alamgir Hossain, co-public relations and promotion member Engineer Shahabuddin Sabu, co-organizing member Hosne Ara Parvin, and executive member Engineer Sakhawat Hossain, along with other IDEB leaders.
Their tribute honored the supreme sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the motherland during the Liberation War and reflected the engineers’ collective determination to contribute to national development and uphold the ideals of freedom.
