The team Pardon Us, Coming Through from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) emerged as the champion of the 21st Battle of Minds competition. The winning team, comprising Md. Nahiyan Hasan, Adiba Rukaiya Hasan, and Ridha Tarannum Mehmood, showcased exceptional skills and creativity, securing victory over four other finalist teams.
Winning Idea
Their business plan featured Jaco Natural Jackfruit Chips, a healthy super-snack infused with innovative flavors such as Classic Savory, Achari Twist, BBQ Delight, and Grilled Cheese. The team’s concept reimagined jackfruit as a flavorful, nutrient-packed snack, earning accolades for its originality and potential.
Runners-Up
- First Runner-Up: Team SeedSync, composed of Samihah Masud (Islamic University of Technology), Mohammed Fosiul Abedin Khan (BRAC University), and Orpa Saha (Khulna University of Engineering and Technology), presented Bubble Wellness Drinks. This product line aims to support hormonal balance in women, offering three variants combining natural ingredients with functional formulations to enhance overall health.
- Second Runner-Up: Team Neurons, represented by Abir Mohammad Saad and Sadia Ahmed (United International University) and Farhan Ishtiaque (Military Institute of Science and Technology), introduced a neuromarketing solution utilizing EEG and eye-tracking technology to analyze consumer behavior. Their concept promises to revolutionize marketing campaigns, product designs, and communication strategies.
Recognition Ceremony
The awards were presented at the Radisson Blu Water Garden in Dhaka on Thursday, November 28, by Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University. In his speech, he highlighted the transformative power of youth in driving economic growth and societal change. He also lauded the Battle of Minds initiative for fostering leadership and innovation among young talents.
Participation and Global Competition
This year’s competition attracted over 3,700 participants from 70+ universities. The winning BUP team will now represent Bangladesh in the global round, competing with champions from 25 countries. The ultimate winners of the global phase will receive seed funding of £50,000 to implement their groundbreaking ideas.
