Online applications for the 2024-25 undergraduate admission at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) will open on Saturday, November 30. The application process will continue until December 14, while payment of application fees through mobile or online banking will close on December 15 at 3:00 PM. The admission process will follow a two-phase system: a preliminary screening test and the main admission test, each requiring separate fees.
Admission Groups and Fee Structure
According to the admission notice:
- Group A includes Engineering Departments and Urban & Regional Planning.
- Group B encompasses Engineering Departments, Urban & Regional Planning, and the Architecture Department.
Applicants must pay an initial application fee of BDT 500 during the online application process.
Those selected for the preliminary screening test will need to pay:
- BDT 800 for Group A.
- BDT 1,000 for Group B.
This payment allows candidates to download the admit card for the preliminary test. No additional fees will be required before the main admission test.
Exam Dates
- The preliminary test is scheduled for January 23, 2024, and shortlisted candidates will qualify for the main admission test.
- The main test will take place on February 13, 2024.
Seats and Special Quotas
BUET offers a total of 1,309 seats, including reserved spots for candidates from ethnic minorities and specific regions:
- Engineering Departments and Urban & Regional Planning: Three reserved seats.
- Architecture Department: One reserved seat.
