In a pioneering initiative, LankaBangla Finance PLC (LBF), Mastercard, and Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF) have introduced the country’s first co-branded LankaBangla Mastercard Titanium Credit Card exclusively for medical professionals. The card was officially launched at the LankaBangla head office in Safura Tower, Banani.
The unveiling ceremony was jointly officiated by LankaBangla Finance Managing Director Humaira Azam, Mastercard Bangladesh Country Manager Syed Mohammad Kamal, and Bangladesh Doctors Foundation Chairman Dr. Md. Shahed Rafi Pavel.
Senior executives present at the event included LankaBangla’s Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Business Khurshid Alam, Head of Cards Md. Toufiqul Rahman, and Head of Brand Marketing and Communications Md. Raziuddin. Joining them were Mastercard Director Sohel Alim and prominent advisers like Dr. A. M. Parvez Rahim and Dr. Halida Hanum Akhtar. Also present was Dr. M. A. Kayes, Head of Corporate Affairs at BDF, along with other senior officials.
Humaira Azam expressed optimism about the card’s acceptance as a convenient and secure cash alternative, stating, “From the beginning, I was confident about this initiative with Bangladesh Doctors Foundation. I extend my gratitude to Mastercard for their support in bringing this project to fruition.”
Syed Mohammad Kamal highlighted Mastercard’s commitment, saying, “We are delighted to be part of this initiative designed to meet the financial needs and aspirations of the country’s healthcare professionals. This collaboration reinforces our dedication to delivering world-class services and products to all cardholders.”
Dr. Md. Shahed Rafi Pavel, BDF Chairman, shared his perspective: “Since June 20, 2019, BDF has been one of the largest organizations advocating for the rights and workplace safety of medical professionals in Bangladesh. I believe this card will significantly enhance the shopping and transaction experience of our members.”
The co-branded credit card aims to offer specialized financial services tailored to the unique needs of healthcare professionals, ensuring convenience and security in transactions.
