The “Heritage Bazaar,” an event celebrating the finest products from 64 districts of Bangladesh, commenced for the third time, attracting over 1 lakh participants on-site and 30 lakh digitally. The week-long event is organized by the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University (DIU).
The special marketplace was inaugurated on Monday, November 18, at the university’s Green Campus in Birulia by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman. The opening ceremony was graced by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship Professor Dr. Md. Masum Iqbal, Global Entrepreneurship Week National Host K.M. Hasan Ripon, and the Head of DIU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department, Mohammad Kamruzzaman.
The organizers anticipate the event will be part of the larger Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations, involving over 40,000 events across 200 countries and engaging 10 million participants. In Bangladesh, more than 500 events are planned with the collaboration of over 50 partner organizations.
