Grameenphone, the leading telecommunications provider in Bangladesh, has signed an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank to offer customers the convenience of opening bank accounts entirely online through the MyGP app. This partnership aims to enhance the digital banking experience for customers of both organizations.
The agreement was signed at an event held at GP House in Dhaka, where Grameenphone’s Chief Business Officer, Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, and Standard Chartered Bank’s Managing Director and Head of Wealth and Retail Banking, Lutful Habib, officiated the partnership. Present at the event were Sabbir Ahmed, Executive Director of Employee Banking at Standard Chartered; Toufiq Imam, Head of Unsecured Products (CCPL); Rudaba Murtaza, Director of Personal Banking; and Navid Hasan, Head of Consumer Deposits. From Grameenphone, Chief Digital Officer Solaiman Alam and Director & Head of Large Accounts M. Shawon Azad were in attendance.
