The Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) held an orientation session on Saturday for 70 new member companies who joined in the past two months. The event aimed to introduce the new members to BASIS and its services.
BASIS President M. Rashidul Hasan, Senior Vice-President Mostafizur Rahman Shohel, Vice-President (Administration) Syed Mohammad Kamal, and BASIS Directors Mir Shahrokh Islam, Biplob Ghosh Rahul, and Syed Abdullah Zayed were present at the event. The keynote address was jointly presented by BASIS Vice-President (Finance) M. Asif Rahman and Director Biplob Ghosh Rahul.
During the session, members of BASIS’ Executive Committee provided an overview of the organization’s goals and its role in advancing the technology sector in Bangladesh. New members were informed about the various services offered by BASIS, including business development support, policy advocacy, training programs, and access to global markets. These services are designed to enhance members’ operational efficiency and assist them in overcoming challenges within the tech industry.
Additionally, the new members were briefed on special privileges such as participation in exclusive industry events, standing committees, networking opportunities, and the chance to join various commercial delegations. BASIS continues to foster partnerships with the government and international organizations to further empower its members and strengthen their position in the competitive market.
BASIS President M. Rashidul Hasan expressed his enthusiasm in welcoming the new members, stating, “We are delighted to welcome the new members to the BASIS family.
