Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) on Thursday, November 7 at noon in the conference room of JUST’s administrative building. This collaboration aims to promote professional development in business education through advanced degrees, educational centers, and joint research initiatives.
Representing JUST, Acting Registrar Md. Emdadul Haque signed the MoU; while ICMAB’s Vice President Md. Akhtaruzzaman signed on behalf of ICMAB. The MoU was facilitated by Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Dean of JUST’s Faculty of Business Studies and Chairman of the Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) Department, and Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Chairman of the Finance and Banking (FB) Department.
Under this agreement, students of JUST’s Faculty of Business Studies will gain access to Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certifications, collaborative research opportunities, learning centers, and scholarships. These benefits are expected to support students in building promising careers.
Additional attendees at the signing ceremony included Dr. Md. Sirajul Islam, Chair of the Deans’ Committee, Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Chair of the FB Department, as well as ICMAB Treasurer Abdul Matin Patwari, Executive Director Md. Mahbubul Alam, and several faculty members from JUST, including Assistant Professors Tarun Sen, Md. Hossain Ali, and lecturers Fazlur Rahman, Sanjida Afrin, Main Uddin, S.M. Monirul Islam, and Md. Belal Hossain.
