Commure, a leading American health technology company, has acquired Augmedix, marking a significant step forward in enhancing AI-driven patient data management. This merger aims to improve patient care services and streamline data storage through advanced AI solutions.
Commure’s Chief Business Officer Harsh Solanki, along with Augmedix Bangladesh’s CEO Rashed Mujib, and Augmedix founder and Commure’s Chief Strategy Officer Ian Shakil, announced the acquisition while speaking to the press.
Harsh Solanki stated, “Following the acquisition, Commure is preparing for substantial investments in Bangladesh, which will generate numerous employment opportunities. With AI-powered services, we anticipate increased demand among U.S. consumers for our offerings.”
Rashed Mujib highlighted that this foreign interest will not only create employment in Bangladesh but also strengthen the nation’s ICT sector. Drawing on a decade of experience, he praised the intelligence and dedication of young Bangladeshi talent.
During their recent visit to Bangladesh, company representatives met with employees, discussing ideas for enhanced service delivery and assuring that the merger would elevate patient care through the combined strengths of Augmedix’s AI technology and Commure’s expansive services.
Commenting on Augmedix’s growth in Bangladesh, Rashed Mujib noted that the company has operated there for a decade, expanding from an initial team of 60 to a workforce of nearly 1,300. He attributed Augmedix’s success in the U.S. to the talent and diligence of Bangladeshi youth, adding that the company’s achievements have raised interest and optimism among American investors regarding further opportunities in Bangladesh.
