A bKash agent named Kibria Hawladar (35) was reportedly drugged and robbed of four lakh taka in Bhanga, Faridpur. Kibria, the son of the late Nawab Ali Hawladar, is a resident of the Makrampatti area in the Gharua Union.
The incident was confirmed on Wednesday, October 16, by Jalil Bepari, Panel Chairman of the Gharua Union Parishad. The robbery took place the previous night, Tuesday, October 15.
According to local sources and the police, Kibria Hawladar was returning home around 8 p.m. after closing his shop at the Azimnagar market. While passing through the Makrampatti area in Gharua Union, he was attacked from behind by unknown assailants. They drugged him with an anesthetic, rendering him unconscious, and stole over four lakh taka from him.
Locals discovered Kibria and rushed him to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex. Due to the severity of his condition, he was referred to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur on Wednesday for further treatment.
