Co-organizer and academic collaborator University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) teachers from Bangladesh participated virtually in the two-day International Innovation and Technopreneurship conference-ICIT organized by INT International University Malaysia . In addition to Bangladesh, 350 researchers from host Malaysia participated. A total of 185 research papers were presented in the conference from 11 countries of the world.
Among them, faculty members and researchers of the university presented their innovative ideas and research papers on September 26 and 27 from the UITS conference room.
Faculty members of the university attended the inaugural function of the conference through the UITS Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Professor IR Dr. Malathi Batumlai (Conference Chair), Prof. Dr. Wong Ling Shing (Pro-Vice Chancellor, INTI International University), Associate Prof. Datuk Dr. Sabri Mohd Sharif (University Technical Malaysia, Melaka, Malaysia), Prof. Dr. Sher Afzal Khan (Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Pakistan) and Dr. Arpita Roy (Sharda University, Greater Noida, India).
On the second day, Prof. Dr. Desinta Arrov Dewi (Deputy Conference Chair), Keynote Speaker Prof. Dr. Francis Onditi (Rear University, Kenya), Prof. Dr. Addy Winerso (Universitas General Ahmad Yani, Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Hani Abdullah Al-Rayasdeh (Al Hussein Bin Talal University, Jordan) spoke.
The two-day conference was divided into five parallel sessions, each focusing on a specific theme aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These themes included the integration of health and life sciences, engineering innovation and discovery, next-gen fields in computing, innovative business and management, and sustainable education.
