Amid clouds and rain, the first Nursing and Caregiver Job Fair has commenced at the Krishibid Institute in the capital. Organized by the online job portal BDJobs, the fair began on Wednesday morning, with over 50 healthcare organizations participating. According to BDJobs CEO Fahim Mashroor; these organizations are expected to hire more than 500 candidates. He also mentioned that the fair will continue until 4 PM today.

Despite the rain, eager participants began arriving at the Krishibid Institute auditorium. Many were seen standing in front of the booths, umbrellas in hand, gathering information. From early morning, students from universities and nursing institutes, as well as professionals of various ages, crowded the venue for on-the-spot registration and interviews. Some were in search of new employment opportunities, while others visited the stalls with the intention of switching jobs. A few were seeking information to improve their skills. In addition to employers, several nursing training institutes also joined the fair, offering various training programs to job seekers from their stalls, including healthcare networks like BRAC CSD and GCCN.
Among the participating employers, booths from Square Hospital, United Hospital, Labaid Cancer Hospital, Super Specialized Hospital, Farazi Hospital, and Kingston Hospital saw the most response from job seekers. The booths of Ayat Care, Modern Hospital, Khidmah Seba and Sashroy, and Vision Eye Hospital also experienced a significant presence of candidates. Simet Institute of Technology was recruiting caregiver instructors and patient care assistants at the fair.
