In the 6th National Science Fair organized by Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC), Dhaka University of Technology and Technology (DUET) won the first place in this year’s robotics competition. DUET BoTs team won the fair held at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University.
A total of four teams from DUET participated in the competition. The teams are DUET Pythagoras, DUET Cogent, DUET Infinitron and DUET BoTs.
Among the hundreds of teams from more than 50 public and private universities of the country, the champion duet BoTs team was led by Abdullah Al Kibria, a student of Computer Science and Engineering department of the university, Mehrun Nesa, a student of the same department, and Md Rakib Uddin, a student of Mechanical Engineering department.
After the day-long competition on Saturday, Jahangirnagar University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan. JU Science Club President Tarek Mahmud presided over the program. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Sohail Ahmed, Prof. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman and Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rob were also present among others.
