Md. Ibrahim Mollah, a student of Daffodil Institute of IT, has made an app to determine and ensure the correct price of products with the aim of breaking the market syndicate. The app is called “Bazardar” developed by a talented second year student of CSE department of DIIT. The app is able to work through previous data load without internet connection. Now he wants to dedicate this app for the welfare of the country.
For this reason, he sent a mail to the advisor of ICT, Telecom and Information and Broadcasting Ministry a couple of weeks ago. However, without getting a response, he approached the media workers.
On Wednesday (September 18), Ibrahim appeared in Daffodil Tower, Mirpur Road, Dhanmondi, capital, to present the details of the app in front of the media. And the university family is beside him in this great initiative.
For that purpose, a program was thrown wishing the success of the app. Principal of the Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) Professor Dr. Md. Sakhawat Hossain presided over the meeting while, Md Imran Hossain, Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department of DIIT; Md Omar Farooq, Head of MBA Course and Laxman Chandra Ravi Das, Head of BBA Course spoke.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Daffodil family Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman was present as the chief guest at the event. The CEO said, Ibrahim Mollah is interested in providing this app created by him to the Bangladesh government completely free of charge for the welfare of the people of the country.
In the presentation, the inventor of the app, Md. Ibrahim Mollah, said that the app is not only able to inform customers about the correct market price, but also can play an important role in breaking market syndicates and ensuring the fare price. The user can easily check the price range set by the government if the customer wants to go to the market and asked for an additional price.
But for this, the cooperation of District Information Office, Directorate of Agriculture Marketing and Directorate of Consumer Affairs is needed, he said. That is why he has sent a mail to adviser Nahid Islam. He told DigiBanglaTech.news that, if the advisor gives time, I would like to show it to him and hand it over to the government. Because they don’t have any such platform yet. If this is the case, the market syndicate will become visible to everyone.
Inventor Md Ibrahim Mollah said it will help users to ensure the correct price and protect them from overcharging. Provide accurate district wise price list of food products and show designated contact number of Directorate of Consumer Protection. That is, if any shopkeeper demands excessive price, the customer can easily contact the concerned district authority. District wise food price information can be collected through this app. So, I want to give this information transfer app to the government for the welfare of the country.
