Professor Dr. Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He is a professor in the Civil Engineering department of the university.
He was appointed in a notification issued by the Ministry of Education on Thursday (September 12). It was signed by Deputy Secretary Mosammat Rokhsana Begum.
The notification says that, his appointment will be four years from the date of joining. As Vice-Chancellor, he will get emoluments equal to his current post. He will enjoy other benefits attached to the post of Vice Chancellor as per rules.
He will be permanently stationed on the University campus as the Chief Executive Officer of the University. However, the President and the Chancellor can cancel this appointment order at any time if necessary.
