The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Officers Association held an emergency meeting on Sunday to provide relief and assistance to the victims of the recent severe floods. In this meeting of the executive committee held in the morning, it was decided to pay one day’s salary of all the officers of the university and the donation collected by the association to the chief adviser’s relief and welfare fund.
The meeting was presided over by CUET Officers Association President Engineer Syed Mohammad Ikram and conducted by General Secretary Engineer Md Maqbul Hossain.
Among others, CUET Officers Association Joint General Secretary Muhammad Morshedul Haque, Organizing Secretary Mohammad Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, Finance Secretary A.K.M. Kamrul Hasan, Sports, Literature and Cultural Secretary Md. Zilhaj Uddin, Office Secretary Md. Rubel Mahmud, Information, Publicity and Publication Secretary Noor Newaz, Executive Members Md. Mirazul Islam, Pankaj Barua, Mohammad Harun and Mohammad Nashir Uddin were present.
In the meeting, the President of CUET Officers Association called upon everyone to cooperate from their respective positions to deal with this disaster.
