The public life of people in most areas of Feni, Noakhali, Cumilla has been disrupted by the sudden political flood. Thousands of people of the country stood beside the flood victims. As part of that, the students of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) have also started relief activities.
DUET students are collecting money for relief activities from various educational institutions, coaching and individuals of Gazipur Sadar. Students are collecting dry clothes for penniless and destitute people.
DUET students have already collected 7 lakh 29 thousand taka. 4 teams of DUET students have already reached Feni, Noakhali and Cumilla with cash, food and other relief aid. Besides, DUET students are helping as volunteers in the relief activities of As Sunnah Foundation.
Md. Shahjahan, a student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of DUET, said that our siblings and parents are in great trouble due to this artificially created flood. So, I am calling everyone to extend a helping hand from every place. He also said that DUET students will stand by their side till the rehabilitation of the affected people.
